Good quality for your money.I was leery of this brand b/c not a major camera maker.However, I had an earlier model that lasted forever. This even though I lived in the tropics and lent it to poor kids in the interior who took it and did who knows what (not take care of it, that's for sure) to it.Anyway, I bought this one in B / c very well with the previous one seems to be working so far. Have yet to get it to the tropics, but will have it there soon... Love the fact that it uses SD and SDHD card (common and cheap) as AA batteries (rechargeable only I use), which last for a decent length of time..

I have been using the Sony printer paper for years. I also had an HP photo printer and while the pictures were nice, the ink dried up too quick.Sony to use the printer is much higher because the photo paper comes with a photo cartridge that changes with each package of paper opens. Although I do not print a lot of pictures, the cartridges do not go bad sitting on my shelf and the print quality of the pictures is awesome.I have never had a picture tone with this system..

Brought a disposable camera in my carry on on a recent trip to cozumel.Worst fears were confirmed when all the pictures came back black because of the xray machine at the airport.Time was one of the all the photos diving photos 1 hours to pick up a camera and a fire place, before flying them back to back. The photos came out better than expected.Its where I am because of the pressure of 80 feet, but didnt work at all, at least a leak in the cameras gone all the way! Then again, Ill be back after work to talk to 35 feet. Highly recommend not purchasing the camera until you get to where your going if you have to fly!.

I accidentally dropped the camera into a large mud puddle while riding an elephant in SE Asia.Incredibly, after about 5 days of letting it dry and very gently cleaning the exterior with a Q-tip (as I was backpacking I didn't have the tools to actually open the camera) it still worked great.There is a small amount of soil trapped in the LCD display screen but nothing is as it fell about 12 feet. and submerged in jungle muck for about 15 seconds..
